We have stand-alone Divemaster and Instructor Courses available or we have an all-inclusive internship package.
Divemaster
Come and be part of the Thresher Shark Divers team! Train with us and
our customers to become a PADI Divemaster. Once you are a certified Divemaster,
you will be able to find work in tropical destinations all over the world,
and even back home. If you don't wish to work as a DM, the Divemaster
course is a great way to learn a lot more about diving and to become a
better and more confident diver.
The Divemaster course focuses on developing your diving skills, rescue
skills, and professional knowledge of dive theory. You will expand on
your problem solving skills developed during the PADI Rescue Diver program,
and experience supervisory situations with both students and certified
divers. You will receive individual coaching and work with our instructors
while assisting in the training of students. Eventually you will be leading
dives yourself. One of the things that people like most is that the course
includes free diving!

out more about this exciting course! The Divemaster course is very flexible
and classes are one-on-one. Different people have different needs - you
may wish to work as a Divemaster, become an Instructor, or have limited
time and just need the basics etc. etc. We will discuss what you want
from Divemaster training and then develop a course and schedule personally
tailored to suit your needs.
The course is generally taught as a minimum 4 week internship and during your course you will do everything that Divemasters do as part of their job. Thresher Shark Divers also offers an all-inclusive program for interns which you can enter at any certification level. It includes everything you will need - courses and materials, PADI application fees, equipment, accommodation, even visa renewals. Find out more.

Current CPR certification is required for Divemaster.
You will also have to provide a copy of PADI's
medical form, completed and signed by a doctor.
Divemaster Pro
If you want to work as a Divemaster, our unique Divemaster Pro package
is perfect for you.
When looking for your first job after certification, you will find that
like any career, there is always competition. Especially for your first
couple of jobs when you do not yet have much experience, any additional
skills you have above and beyond Divemaster will increase your chances
of employment drastically.
As well as the Divemaster course, this package includes certifications
in
Nitrox
You will be able to lead divers on Nitrox dives. You will also need
this certification if you plan in the future to become a Nitrox Instructor.
Deep Diver
Be certified to take divers safely down to 40m.
Wreck Diver
This will qualify you to do wreck penetration and you
will be able to lead divers into these overhead environments.
Equipment Specialist
Learn how to service and maintain equipment properly.
A Divemaster who is also a repair technician is very valued in any dive
shop. We will also teach you how to run compressors as an additional
bonus to this course - another very valuable skill.
Gas Blender
Learn how to blend nitrox. Useful in an increasing number
of dive shops around the world.
Assistant Instructor
If you want to develop further or want to go on to become an instructor,
think about taking the Assistant Instructor Course.
Assistant Instructors are more employable than DM's as they are able
to do part of the teaching for instructors. The Assistant Instructor course
is the first part of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), so
is a must if you wish to become an instructor. Take the AI course with
Thresher Shark Divers either in preparation for a complete IDC or to enable
you to skip the first part of the IDC. A big advantage of taking it with
us is that we usually teach one-on-one, so it will be just you in the
class and you get to focus on your weaker points .
We offer several great experience package tailored to your instructional
needs to prepare you for your IDC. For instance, if you are preparing
for the IE and need a refresher on your DM, we can combine the two. Contact
