Malapascua Resorts, Hotels and Accommodation

Thresher Shark Divers is located on Malapascua's main beach. We can book
you into most of the resorts on the island if you have a preference. Some
of the ones we use regularly are Cocobana, Hippocampus, and Sunsplash.

prices and to make a reservation. Many of the resorts are currently upgrading
their facilities, so this information changes regularly. If you want an
AC room, please book early as rooms are limited! Please note that we can
only book rooms for our divers. Prices start at around US$ 25 for a basic
fan room and $50 for aircon. Hot water is only available at Cocobana and
Mangrove, but most people find it is not necessary -water is other resorts is usually tepid rather than "cold". Please note that electricity
is not always available 24 hours a day.

Sunsplash Resort
Sunsplash has newly built Deluxe and Super Deluxe rooms just off the
beach. All rooms come with AC, satellite TV and mini-bar / refrigerator.

Cocobana Beach Resort
Cocobana was the first resort in Malapascua and still leads the way. Its
cottages are in the middle of the main beach with easy access to everything.
All AC rooms have hot water. Its newly built Super Deluxe AC rooms are
very spacious and come with TV and refrigerator.

Hippocampus Beach Resort
Hippocampus has new rooms with fan, deluxe fan and AC rooms available.
Electricity is usually available for most of the day.

Resort
Blue Coral Resort
Blue Coral is conveniently located only 50m from the dive shop. It is
build on a rocky outcrop at the end of the Bounty Beach. Its rooms are
on the 3rd floor. Each has a private balcony and commands an incredible
view. Rooms are fairly basic with fan or air-con for P1500/3500 per night
including breakfast for two. It is worth it for the view.
Mangrove Oriental Resort
Mangrove Oriental resort is set among beautiful surroundings with flower
gardens and a private beach. It is isolated from the main beach area for
the feeling of a real tropical island retreat. If you are looking for a
very quiet and relaxing resort, this is your place. Mangrove is 10-15
minutes walk from the dive shop, or easily accessible by motorcycle taxi.
Kuan Ba Resort
The Kuan Ba Resort is about 2 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from
the dive shop. Its rooms are more basic, but if you want to save a few
dollars on rooms it is an excellent option.

Palm Place (Budget)
A great choice for budget rooms. Palm Place is a two story building,
gated and enclosed in beautiful gardens. It is located about 4 minutes
walk from the beach and the dive shop. Bathrooms are shared and there
is a communal social area with satellite TV and a good book collection.
There is a restaurant with limited service and it is close to the main
restaurants on the island. There are two types of rooms:
Outside P500
Entrance is outside the main building with bathroom opposite.
Inside P600
Entrance is inside the main building on the second floor. There is a
shared bathroom. This is also where the TV room is located.
