PADI DSAT Tec 40 Course

The PADI DSAT Tec 40 course is the first of 3 sub-courses in the full PADI Tec Diver certification.

This is a limited, entry-level technical diving program that bridges the gap between recreational diving and full technical deep decompression diving. It is a great choice if you are interested in technical diving and want to give it a try.

Course Prerequisites

• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
• PADI Enriched Air Diver
• Deep diving experience, either:
  • PADI Deep Diver or
  • Proof of 10 dives to 30 meters or deeper
• Minimum of 30 logged dives including
  • 10 dives on Enriched Air deeper than 18 meters
• At least 18 years old
• Medical signed by your doctor

Qualifying equivalent certifications from other organizations are accepted

Course qualifications

• Make decompression dives up to 40 meters depth
• Use a single stage tank of decompression gas with up to EANx50
• No more than 10 minutes total decompression
• Use decompression software and dive computers to plan you dives

Course Inclusions

• Three Knowledge development sections
• 3 practical applications
• 4 training dives, on any gas up to EANx50
  • Dive 1: Max depth 10 meters, no stop
  • Dive 2: Max depth 18 meters, no stop
  • Dive 3: Max depth 27 meters, no stop
  • Dive 4: Max depth 40 meters, 10 minutes max total decompression time

Equipment

The dives will be conducted using twin tanks and one stage/deco tank.

Dives will be planned using decompression software on a PC.
