PADI DSAT Tec 40 Course
The PADI DSAT Tec 40 course is the first of 3 sub-courses in the full PADI Tec Diver certification.
This is a limited, entry-level technical diving program that bridges the gap between recreational diving and full technical deep decompression diving. It is a great choice if you are interested in technical diving and want to give it a try.
Course Prerequisites
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
- PADI Enriched Air Diver
- Deep diving experience, either:
- PADI Deep Diver or
- Proof of 10 dives to 30 meters or deeper
- Minimum of 30 logged dives including
- 10 dives on Enriched Air deeper than 18 meters
- At least 18 years old
- Medical signed by your doctor
Qualifying equivalent certifications from other organizations are accepted
Course qualifications
- Make decompression dives
up to 40 meters depth
- Use a single stage tank of decompression gas with up to EANx50
- No more than 10 minutes total decompression
- Use decompression software and dive computers to plan you dives

Course Inclusions
- Three Knowledge development sections
- 3 practical applications
- 4 training dives, on any gas up to EANx50
- Dive 1: Max depth 10 meters, no stop
- Dive 2: Max depth 18 meters, no stop
- Dive 3: Max depth 27 meters, no stop
- Dive 4: Max depth 40 meters, 10 minutes max total decompression time
Equipment
The dives will be conducted using twin tanks and one stage/deco tank.
Dives will be planned using decompression software on a PC.
