PADI Tec Deep Instructor Course

What You Learn

The PADI Tec Deep Instructor course incorporates instructional philosophies and course goals that directly address the demanding and challenging nature of technical diving instruction. It prepares you to conduct the Tec Deep Diver course and addresses the philosophy, organization, practical considerations, promotion and other aspects of teaching the Tec Deep Diver course.

If you are not yet ready to teach the full Tec Deep Course, why not consider the PADI Technical Instructor Course which will allow you to teach Tec 40?

What You Can Teach

As a Tec Deep Instructor, you’ll be qualified to

• Conduct the PADI Discover Tec experience 
• Teach the PADI Tec 40 course
• Teach the PADI Tec 45 course
• Teach the PADI Tec 50 course
• Teach the PADI Tec Deep course

Prerequisites

To in this course, you must

• Be a renewed PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
• Be a PADI Enriched Air Instructor (or have completed the course)
• Be a PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor  (or have completed the course)
• Minimum logged dives
  • 20 dives with enriched air nitrox
  • 25 dives deeper than 18 metres
  • 15 dives deeper than 30 metres

You can complete any lacking prerequisites with us.

Postrequisites

In order to be certified as a PADI Tec Deep Instructor you must meet the following requirements before you sending your application to PADI. These are not included in the course but you may complete these with us if needed.

• PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)
• Be a PADI Tec Deep Diver or equivalent (can be integrated with Instructor training)
• Be a PADI Enriched Air Instructor
• Be a PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor
• 270 logged dives including
  • 25 stage decompression dives below 40 meters
• Have certified a combination of at least 10 Enriched Air Nitrox and/or Deep Diver students
• Assist on one PADI Tec program (Tec 45 or Tec 50)
• Have successfully completed the Tec Deep Instructor Standards Exam and Tec Deep Instructor Theory and Practical Application Exam (within 12 months of app date).
• Meet the peer review waterskill requirements listed through the attesting signature of a Tec Deep Instructor or a PADI Instructor with a qualifying rating from another training organization.
